It is neither something new nor odd. It is the practice through many years. It is on one such panguni uthram day, when Lord Ranganatha and Sri Renganachiyar were in Kalyana thirukkolam, that Sri Ramanujacharya presented himself before them and did prapatti or saranagati through chanting his gadya thrayam.
