My intent to post this thread in the General Section is so that people do not treat this as a fodder for a chit-chat session.
There are many kinds of meditation techniques and the author above only has commented only on what he is aware of.
My view is that meditation is not for the sole purpose of a healthy mind only but to ensure that our mind cooperates with our pursuits of larger goals. It is but one aspect of getting our mind prepared for learning.
While we are all Mishras (mix of 'good' and 'bad' traits) it is best to engage with predominantly 'satvic' people in Satsangs to complement our meditation efforts. Similarly it is best to stay away from interacting with predominantly toxic people who emanate hatred of any form disguised or directly spewed.
A daily meditation practice can lead to a sense of peace and harmony while enabling us to pursue our larger goals.
