If a brahmin girl tries marrying a NB, the parents play the other sisters card. They tell the girl that married prospects of her other sisters will be hurt if she opts for NB
caste.Still if girls persist and marry NB, parents cut her off from family.
Brahmin boys do not even attempt to marry if they have unmarried sisters. They are put on wait until the girls of the family are married.
