Even during British period the first Capital was Calcutta. This city situated in a corner of the Country, unsuited for capital of the Country.
There are quite a few good metropolitan Cities in South that can be considered for shifting the Capital of this sprawling Nation. Hyderabad is one such places. This city is selected to function as place of residence for the President during Summer. This city has all the infrastructure to be a Capital. Otherwise Nagpur situated in the center of the Nation can be considered, but its unfriendly weather during summer is a deterrent for Capital.
