Now the story of the 'Donkey-Father-Son' trio!
Once a father and his son took their donkey to the next village hoping to sell it for a very good price.
The son rode on the donkey while the father walked along with them. On the way a man passing by commented. "What a young boy is riding on the donkey when his elderly old father walks on foot!"
Then the father rode the donkey and his son walked along with him. After some time another man crossed them and commented. "People have become very selfish now! Look at the strong young lad riding on a donkey while his poor father walking on foot.
So now both the father and his son sat on the donkey to get a free ride. Nedless to say, the donkey found it very hard to walk with two grown up humans siting on its back. It plodded along on unsteady feet.
Now the passer by commented,"How cruel humans are! Imagine two grown ups riding on a knock kneed donkey! If they have any sense they must be carrying it instead!"
So the two men found a long pole and tied their donkey to it upside down so that the donkey hanged by his tied up legs . This strange procession went on until the next passer by commented,
"Look at the donkey being carried along by these two fools!" A crowd gathered there immediately - as is the custom in our Mahaan Bhaarat.
The crowd made a lot of noise - laughter, ridicule and comments all mixed into one disturbing sound. The donkey hanging upside down didn't know what was happening and it struged to become free from if bondage.
By cruel fate it so happened that they were walking on a narrow bridge at that time. The donkey broke free and fell down headlong in to the water below and never surfaced again!
The father and son who had dreamed of a big sale for a huge money returned home empty handed and crest fallen
What could be the moral of such a story???
Never try to please everyone you come across! It is not humanly possible!
I would say it this way
"Do what you think is right - after listening to the various unsolicited advices"
